A complete hemogram is a more detailed version of a Complete Blood Count (CBC), including the CBC's basic blood cell counts along with a differential (breakdown of different white blood cell types), and potentially an Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) and peripheral blood smear for more information on inflammation, infection, and cell appearance. While the terms are often used interchangeably, a hemogram offers a broader and more comprehensive view of a patient's health than a standard CBC.
